What is Pans for Cans?
An ongoing series of projects by J'Ouvert Steel Band
to raise money, cans and awareness for Havest Hope Food Bank.
Why "Pans for Cans" and "Harvest Hope Food Bank"?
Because we play the pans and want to help raise some cans. We realize the ongoing need to help those having
trouble feeding their families in hard times.
We decided to partner with Harvest Hope Food Bank
because of their dedication, outreach and effectiveness
in
assisting those in need.
Harvest Hope Food Bank, a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization,
is a member of Feeding America, the national network of over 200 food banks.
Harvest Hope is a powerful agent in the war against hunger.
On average, they distribute over 19 million pounds of food per year.
Hunger is a problem affecting the elderly and the young,
the health and the sick. It is a problem affecting people just like you.
Harvest Hope and their member agencies work with people in need from all walks of life.
The mission of Harvest Hope Food Bank is to provide for the needs
of hungry people by gathering and sharing quality food with dignity,

Donating items or services for the “Pans for Cans Silent Auction” is a simple way to help your neighbors in need.
And, it is tax deductible. For every dollar donated, 98 cents goes toward programs and services to benefit hungry people.
$15 feeds a family for one week
$50 supports a Kids Café site (afterschool meals program)
$100 pays transportation for a Mobile Food Pantry to an underserved community
$500 meets their Emergency Food Pantry’s weekly needs
$1000 fills a Harvest Hope delivery truck full of food
